                    1.1	A bill for an act​
1.2 relating to natural resources; requiring a study and report of the impact of eagles​
1.3 on loons.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. STUDY OF IMPACT OF EAGLES ON LOONS.​
1.6 The commissioner of natural resources must conduct a study of the impact that eagles​
1.7have on loons in this state. The study must include an assessment of the impact that the​
1.8presence of bald eagles has on juvenile loons and on the loon population generally. By​
1.9March 1, 2026, the commissioner must submit a report on the results of the study to the​
1.10chairs and ranking minority members of the legislative committees and divisions with​
1.11jurisdiction over the environment.​
