1.2 relating to economic development; appropriating money for a grant to the FATHER​
1.3 Project.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; GOODWILL EASTER SEALS MINNESOTA.​
1.6 $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $1,000,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from​
1.7the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for a grant​
1.8to Goodwill Easter Seals Minnesota and its partners. The grant must be used to continue​
1.9the FATHER Project in Rochester, St. Cloud, St. Paul, Minneapolis, and the surrounding​
1.10areas to assist fathers in overcoming barriers that prevent fathers from supporting their​
1.11children economically and emotionally, including with community reentry following​
1.12confinement.​
