1.1 A bill for an act
1.2 relating to employment; appropriating money for grants to programs to provide
1.3 employment support services to persons with mental illness.
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:
1.5 Section 1. APPROPRIATION; EVIDENCE-BASED EMPLOYMENT SUPPORT
1.6SERVICES TO PERSONS WITH MENTAL ILLNESS.
1.7 $2,500,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $2,500,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from
1.8the general fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development for grants
1.9to programs that provide evidence-based employment support services to persons with
1.10mental illness under Minnesota Statutes, sections 268A.13 and 268A.14. This appropriation
1.11is added to the base and must be used to sustain current programs and expand programs to
1.12areas of the state without an existing evidence-based employment support program and to
1.13expand existing programs, including programs that do not currently receive state funding.
