1.1 A bill for an act 1.2 relating to civil law; requiring actual notice for easements held by a government 1.3 entity; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 117. 1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA: 1.5 Section 1. [117.80] ACTUAL NOTICE REQUIRED; EASEMENTS. 1.6 Notwithstanding any law to the contrary, a local, state, or any other government entity 1.7with an easement over private property must provide actual notice to an owner by mail, 1.8email, or telephone before using the easement.
