1.2 relating to workforce development; appropriating money to Big Brothers Big​
1.3 Sisters for youth programming.​
1.4BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF MINNESOTA:​
1.5 Section 1. BIG BROTHERS BIG SISTERS; APPROPRIATION.​
1.6 $500,000 in fiscal year 2026 and $500,000 in fiscal year 2027 are appropriated from the​
1.7workforce development fund to the commissioner of employment and economic development​
1.8for a grant to Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Greater Twin Cities to provide disadvantaged​
1.9youth ages 12 to 21 with job-seeking skills, connections to job training and education​
1.10opportunities, and mentorship while exploring careers. The grant shall serve youth in the​
1.11Big Brothers Big Sisters chapters in the Twin Cities, central Minnesota, and southern​
1.12Minnesota. This is a onetime appropriation.​
