ThisbillspecifiesthattheGeneralAssemblypreemptsany
politicalsubdivisionfromenacting,maintaining,orenforcingany
order,ordinance,rule,regulation,policy,orothersimilar
measurethatprohibits,restricts,limits,regulates,controls,
directs,orinterfereswiththepracticeofveterinarymedicine.
PROPONENTS: Supporterssaythatmedicaltreatmentforananimal
shouldbethedecisionoftheownerafterconsultationwitha
licensedveterinarian;notthedecisionofelectedorappointed
governmentofficials. Thisbillwouldensurethatthepracticeof
veterinarymedicineislefttolicensedveterinarians.

Bureau;MissouriPetBreedersAssociation;andtheMissouri
Cattlemen'sAssociation.

thepretenseofveterinarymedicine.
