55.160.Theauditorofeachcountyofthefirst
2 classificationnothavingacharterformofgovernmentandofeach
3 countyofthesecondclassificationshallkeepaninventoryofall
4 countypropertyunderthecontrolandmanagementofthevarious
5 officersanddepartmentsandshallannuallytakeaninventoryof
6 suchpropertyatanoriginalvalueofonethousanddollarsormore
7 showingtheamount,locationandestimatedvaluethereof.The
8 auditorshallkeepaccountsofallappropriationsandexpenditures
9 madebythecountycommission,andnowarrantshallbedrawnor
10 obligationincurredwithouttheauditor'scertificationthatan
11 unencumberedbalance,sufficienttopaythesame,remaininthe
12 appropriateaccountorintheanticipatedrevenuefundagainst
13 whichsuchwarrantorobligationistobecharged.Theauditor
14 shallaudittheaccountsofallofficersofthecountyannuallyor
15 upontheirretirementfromoffice.Theauditorshallaudit,
16 examineandadjustallaccounts,demands,andclaimsofeverykind
17 andcharacterpresentedforpaymentagainstthecounty,andshall
18 intheauditor'sdiscretionapprovetothecountycommissionofthe
8 19 countyalllawful,true,justandlegalaccounts,demandsand
20 claimsofeverykindandcharacterpayableoutofthecounty
21 revenueoroutofanycountyfundsbeforethesameshallbeallowed
22 andawarrantissuedthereforbythecommission. Wheneverthe
23 auditorthinksitnecessarytotheproperexaminationofany
24 account,demandorclaim,theauditormayexaminetheparties,
25 witnesses,andothersonoathoraffirmationtouchinganymatteror
26 circumstanceintheexaminationofsuchaccount,demandorclaim
27 beforetheauditorallowssame.Theauditorshallnotbe
28 personallyliableforanycostforanyproceedinginstituted
29 againsttheauditorintheauditor'sofficialcapacity. The
30 auditorshallkeepacorrectaccountbetweenthecountyandall
31 countyandtownshipofficers,andshallexamineallrecordsand
32 settlementsmadebythemforandwiththecountycommissionorwith
33 eachother,andtheauditorshall,whenevertheauditordesires,
34 haveaccesstoallbooks,countyrecordsorpaperskeptbyany
35 countyortownshipofficerorroadoverseer. Theauditorshall,
36 duringthefirstfourdaysofeachmonth,strikeabalanceinthe
37 caseofeachcountyandtownshipofficer,showingtheamountof
38 moneycollectedbyeach,theamountofmoneyduefromeachtothe
39 county,andtheamountofmoneyduefromanysourcewhateverto

43 Uponrequest,theauditorshallhaveaccesstoandtheabilityto

9 57.317.1.(1)Exceptinanonchartercountyofthefirst
2 classificationwithmorethanonehundredfiftythousandandless
3 thantwohundredthousandinhabitants,thecountysheriffinany
4 countyofthefirstorsecondclassificationshallreceivean
5 annualsalaryequaltoeightypercentofthecompensationofan
6 associatecircuitjudgeofthecounty.
7 (2)Thecountysheriffinanycountyofthethirdorfourth
8 classificationshallreceiveanannualsalarycomputedasthe
9 followingpercentagesofthecompensationofanassociatecircuit
10 judgeofthecounty.Ifthereisanincreaseinsalaryoflessthan
11 tenthousanddollars,theincreaseshalltakeeffectonJanuary1,
12 2022.Ifthereisanincreaseoftenthousanddollarsormore,the
13 increaseshallbepaidoveraperiodoffiveyearsintwenty
14 percentincrementsperyear.Theassessedvaluationfactorshall
15 betheamountthereofasshownfortheyearnextprecedingthe
16 computation. Theprovisionsofthissectionshallnotpermitor
17 requireareductionintheamountofcompensationbeingpaidfor
18 theofficeofsherifffromtheprioryear.

38 3.Thecountysheriffinanycountyotherthanacharter
39 countyshallnotreceiveanannualcompensationlessthanthe
40 compensationdescribedunderthissection.
58.095.1.Thecountycoronerinanycountynothavinga
2 charterformofgovernmentshallreceiveanannualsalarycomputed
3 onabasisassetforthinthefollowingscheduleaswellasany
4 adjustmentauthorizedundersubsection3ofsection50.327.The
5 provisionsofthissectionshallnotpermitorrequireareduction

27 provideacertificateofcompletiontoeachcoronerwhocompletes
28 thetrainingprogramandshallsendalistofcertifiedcoronersto
29 thetreasurerofeachcountyandthedepartmentofhealthand
30 seniorservices. Thecoronerstandardsandtrainingcommission
31 maycertifytrainingprogramsthatsatisfytherequirementsof
32 thissectioninlieuofthetrainingprovidedbytheMissouri
33 Coroners'andMedicalExaminers'Association. Certifiedtraining
34 completionshallbesubmittedtotheMissouriCoroners'and
35 MedicalExaminers'Associationwhich,uponvalidatingthe
36 certifiedtraining,shallsubmittheindividual'snametothe
37 countytreasureranddepartmentofhealthandseniorservices
38 indicatingtheindividualiscompliantwiththetraining
39 requirements. Expensesincurredforattendingthetraining
12 40 sessionmaybereimbursedtothecountycoronerinthesamemanner
41 asotherexpensesasmaybeappropriatedforthatpurpose.All
42 electedorappointedcoroners,deputycoroners,andassistantsto
43 thecoronershallcompletetheannualtrainingdescribedinthis
44 subsectionwithinsixmonthsofelectionorappointment.
45 3.Thecountycoronerinanycountynothavingacharterform
46 ofgovernmentshallnot,exceptupontwo-thirdsvoteofallthe
47 membersofthesalarycommission,receiveanannualcompensation
48 inanamountlessthanthetotalcompensationbeingreceivedfor
49 theofficeofcountycoronerintheparticularcountyforservices
50 renderedorperformedonthedatethesalarycommissionvotes.
51 4.Forthetermbeginningin1997,thecompensationofthe
52 coroner,incountiesinwhichthesalarycommissionhasnotvoted
53 topayonehundredpercentofthemaximumallowablesalary,shall
54 beapercentageofthemaximumallowablesalaryestablishedbythis
55 section.Thepercentageappliedshallbethesamepercentageof
56 themaximumallowablesalaryreceivedorallowed,whicheveris
57 greater,tothepresidingcommissionerorsheriff,whicheveris
58 greater,ofthatcountyfortheyearbeginningJanuary1,1997.In
59 thosecountiesinwhichthesalarycommissionhasvotedtopayone
60 hundredpercentofthemaximumallowablesalary,thecompensation
61 ofthecoronershallbebasedonthemaximumallowablesalaryin
62 effectateachtimeacoroner'stermofofficecommencesfollowing
63 thevotetopayonehundredpercentofthemaximumallowable
64 compensation. Subsequentcompensationshallbedeterminedas
65 providedinsection50.333.
66 5.EffectiveJanuary1,1997,thecountycoronerinany
13 67 countynothavingacharterformofgovernmentmay,uponthe
68 approvalofthecountycommission,receiveadditionalcompensation
69 foranymonthduringwhichinvestigationsorotherservicesare
70 performedforthreeormoredecedentsinthesameincidentduring
71 suchmonth.Theadditionalcompensationshallbeanamountthat
72 whenaddedtotheregularcompensationthesumshallequalthe
73 monthlycompensationofthecountysheriff.
58.200.Whentheofficeofsheriffshallbevacant,bydeath
2 orotherwise,thecoronerofthecountyisauthorizedtoperform
3 allthedutieswhicharebylawrequiredtobeperformedbythe
4 sheriff,untilanothersheriffforsuchcountyshallbeappointed
5 andqualified[,]	andsuchcoronershallhavenoticethereof[,
6 and]. Insuchcase,saidcoronermayappointoneormoredeputies,
7 withtheapprobationofthejudgeofthecircuitcourt[;], and
8 everysuchappointment,withtheoathofofficeendorsedthereon,
9 shallbefiledintheofficeoftheclerkofthecircuitcourtof
10 thecounty.Ifthecoronerbecomestheactingsheriffandthe
11 sheriffisnolongerreceivingthesheriff'ssalary,thecoroner
12 maybepaid,inadditiontothecoroner'ssalary,thedifference
13 betweenthesalariesofsheriffandcoronersothatthecoroner
14 receivestheequivalentofthesheriff'ssalarywhileservingas
15 actingsheriff.
59.310.1.Thecountyrecorderofdeedsmayrefuseany
2 documentpresentedforrecordingthatdoesnotmeetthefollowing
3 requirements:
4 (1)Thedocumentshallconsistofoneormoreindividual
5 pagesprintedonlyononesideandnotpermanentlyboundnorina
14 6 continuousform.Thedocumentshallnothaveanyattachment
7 stapledorotherwiseaffixedtoanypageexceptasnecessaryto
8 complywithstatutoryrequirements,providedthatadocumentmay
9 bestapledtogetherforpresentationforrecording;alabelthatis
10 firmlyattachedwithabarcodeorreturnaddressmaybeaccepted
11 forrecording;
12 (2)Thesizeofprintortypeshallnotbesmallerthan
13 eight-pointtypeandshallbeinblackordarkink.Shouldany
14 documentpresentedforrecordingcontaintypesmallerthaneight-
15 pointtype,suchdocumentshallbeaccompaniedbyanexact
16 typewrittencopynotsmallerthaneight-pointtypetoberecorded
17 contemporaneously asadditionalpagesofthedocument;
18 (3)Thedocumentmustbeofsufficientlegibilitytoproduce
19 aclearandlegiblereproductionthereof.Shouldanydocumentnot
20 beofsufficientlegibilitytoproduceaclearandlegible
21 reproduction,suchdocumentshallbeaccompaniedbyanexact
22 typewrittencopynotsmallerthaneight-pointtypetoberecorded
