Thisbillrequiresallnon-chartercounties,bythefirstMondayin
March,toprepareandpublishinaqualifiednewspaperafinancial
statementforthepreviousyear.
Thefinancialstatementshallincludethename,office,andcurrent
grossannualsalaryofeachelectedorappointedcountyofficial
whosesalaryissetbytheCountySalaryCommission.
Thecountyclerkorotherofficerresponsibleforthepreparation
ofthefinancialstatementmustpreservethedocumentsreliedupon
inthemakingofthefinancialstatementsandshallprovidean
electroniccopyfreeofchargetoanynewspaperrequestingacopy
ofthedata.
Currently,theserequirementsonlyapplytocountiesofthefirst
classification.
