Thisbillrequiresstudentsparticipatinginsex-separated
interscholastic athleticconteststobeeligibleonlyto
participateinathleticcontestsorganizedforthesamebiological
sexthatisonthestudent'sbirthcertificate.
Thebillmodifiesthedefinitionof"schoolbus"toincludethe
requirementthatthebusmustbedesignedtocarrymorethan10
people.Schooldistrictsareauthorizedtouseothermotor
vehiclesforthepurposeoftransportingschoolchildrentoschool,
toschoolactivities,andforothereducationalpurposes. The
StateBoardofEducationmayadoptrulesandregulationsgoverning
theuseoftheothermotorvehicles,butnotvehiclesoperating
undertheauthorityoftheDepartmentofRevenue'sTransportation
NetworkProvision.
