HB2564 2 55 7.Themissionofthetaskforceshallbetomaximizeandexpandexisting 56industriesthatspurtechnologicalinnovationthroughoutthestate,withparticularfocus 57ontheareasofagriculturaltechnology,healthsciences,andfoodtechnology,andto 58createmorejobsinthetechnologysector. 59 8.Thetaskforceshallreportasummaryofitsactivitiesandany 60recommendationsforlegislationtothegeneralassemblybeforeAugust28,2023. 61 9.(1)ThetaskforceshallsuspenditsoperationsonJanuary1,2024.Atsuch 62time,allmembersofthetaskforceshallberelievedoftheirpositionsonthetaskforce. 63 (2)ThetaskforceshallresumeitsoperationsonJanuary1,2025,withanewset 64ofmemberstobeselectedinthemannerofsubsection2ofthissection.Thenewchair 65andthenewvicechairofthetaskforceshallbedesignatedundersubsection3ofthis 66section. 67 (3)Uponresumptionofitsoperations,thetaskforceshallcontinuetoreceive 68servicesaccordingtosubsection4ofthissectionandshallcontinuetobesubjecttoall 69provisionsofsubsection5ofthissection. 70 (4)Uponresumptionofitsoperations,thetaskforceshallreviewallsummaries 71andrecommendationspreviouslymadeundersubsection8ofthissectionandshall 72continuetocarryoutthemissiondescribedundersubsection7ofthissection. 73 (5)Uponresumptionofitsoperations,thetaskforceshallreportanupdated 74summaryofitsactivitiesandanyrecommendationsforlegislationtothegeneral 75assemblybeforeAugust28,2025. 76 (6)Afterprovidingareporttothegeneralassemblyasrequiredunder 77subdivision(5)ofthissubsection,thetaskforceshallcontinuetomeeteverytwoyears 78periodicallyuntilthissectionexpires.Thetaskforceshallprovideadditionalupdated 79summariesofitsactivitiesandadditionalrecommendationsforlegislationtothegeneral 80assembly,atsuchtimesasthetaskforcedeemsnecessary,untilthetaskforceis 81terminated. 82 10.Undersection23.253oftheMissourisunsetact: 83 (1)Theprovisionsofthenewprogramauthorizedunderthissectionshall 84automaticallysunsettwelveyearsaftertheeffectivedateofthissectionunless 85reauthorizedbyanactofthegeneralassembly; 86 (2)Ifsuchprogramisreauthorized,theprogramauthorizedunderthissection 87shallautomaticallysunsettwelveyearsaftertheeffectivedateofthereauthorizationof 88thissection;and 89 (3)ThissectionshallterminateonSeptemberfirstofthecalendaryear 90immediatelyfollowingthecalendaryearinwhichtheprogramauthorizedunderthis 91sectionissunset. ✔ HB2564 3
