Thisbillestablishesthe"21stCenturyInnovationHubTaskForce".
ThemembershipofthetaskforceincludesfivemembersoftheHouse
ofRepresentatives withthreemembersappointedbytheSpeakerof
theHouseofRepresentatives, threemembersoftheSenatewithtwo
appointedbythePresidentProTemoftheSenate,and23members
representingvariousgovernmentagenciesandinterestedparties.
TheSpeakeroftheHouseshalldesignatetheChairoftheTask
ForceandthePresidentProTemoftheSenateshalldesignatethe
ViceChairoftheTaskForce.
ThemissionoftheTaskForceistomaximizeandexpandexisting
industriesthatspurtechnologicalinnovationthroughoutthestate.
TheTaskForcewillmakerecommendations forlegislationaswellas
submitareportoutliningasummaryofTaskForceactivitiestothe
GeneralAssemblybeforeAugust28,2023.TheTaskForcewill
suspendoperationsonJanuary1,2024andreconveneonJanuary1,
2025toprovideupdatesandreviewrecommendations tobepresented
byAugust28,2025.
TheseprovisionsshallsunsetonSeptember1st,12yearsafterthe
effectivedateunlessreauthorizedbytheGeneralAssembly.
