Currently,fundsoftheMissouriVeterans'HealthandCareFund
underArticleXIVoftheMissouriConstitutionstandappropriated
withoutfurtherlegislativeaction.Uponvoterapproval,this
proposedConstitutional amendmentwouldsubjectdisbursementsof
suchfundstoappropriationbytheGeneralAssembly.
Further,thisConstitutional amendmentprovidesthatfunds
distributedtotheDepartmentofHealthandSeniorServicesunder
ArticleXIVmaynotexceed2%ofthetaxesandfeescollected. Use
ofsuchfundsshallbeexpandedtoprovidedisbursementsfor
constructionofadditionalveteranshomesandsuicideprevention.
