Currently,apersonwhohashadhisorherdriver'slicensesuspendedorrevokedbecauseofan
assessmentofpointsforanintoxication-relatedtrafficoffenseconvictionandwhohasaprior
alcohol-relatedenforcementcontactmustshowprooftotheDirectorofRevenuethatanymotor
vehicledrivenbythepersonhasacertifiedignitioninterlockdeviceinstalled,andtheignition
interlockdevicemustbeinstalledforatleastsixmonths.Underthisbill,therequirementapplies
onlytoapersonwhohasanintoxication-relatedtrafficoffenseconvictioninwhichtheperson's
bloodalcoholcontentwasatleast.08butlessthan.15andwhohasaprioralcohol-related
enforcementcontactortoapersonwhohasanassessmentofpointsforanintoxication-related
trafficoffenseconvictioninwhichtheperson'sbloodalcoholcontentwasfoundtobe.15ormore.
Thebillalsoprohibitsrestricteddrivingprivilegestobeissuedtoanypersonwhosedrivingrecord
showsanintoxication-relatedtrafficoffenseinwhichtheperson'sbloodalcoholcontentwasfound
tobe.15ormore,untilthepersonfilesproofwiththeDepartmentofRevenuethatanymotor
vehicleoperatedbythepersonisequippedwithafunctioning,certifiedignitioninterlockdevice.
