Asspecifiedinthisbill,theMissouriVeteransCommissionmustreviewtheprovisionsofthe
CommanderJohnScottHannonVeteransMentalHealthCareImprovementActof2019,andany
regulationsrelatedthereto.Afterreview,theCommission,incollaborationwiththeDepartmentof
MentalHealth,mustproviderecommendationsandmakeeffortstoadoptprocedures,programs,
treatmentoptions,additionalaid,andanyotherassistancedeemednecessarybytheCommission
toassistintheeffortstopreventveteransuicide,subjecttoappropriation.OnorbeforeJune30,
2024andbyeveryJune30ththereaftertheCommissionmustfileareportwiththeDepartmentof
PublicSafetyandtheGeneralAssemblyontherecommendations,implementation,and
effectivenessoftheeffortsbytheCommissiontopreventveteransuicide.
