Thisbillprovidesthatanypersonundertheageof21that
knowinglycarriesuponorabouttheirpersonafirearmcommitsthe
offenseofunlawfuluseofaweapon.Thisprohibitiondoesnot
applytoanypersonwhoisinthelawfulpursuitofgame;actingin
hisorhercapacityasamemberoftheUnitedStatesArmedForces
oralawenforcementagency;whoisinhisorherdwelling
premises;whoistravelinginacontinuousjourneypeaceably
throughthestates;orwhois18yearsofageorolderandamember
of,orhonorablydischargedfrom,theUnitedStatesArmedForces.
Thisbillraisestheageofaqualifiedapplicantforaconcealed
carrypermitfrom19yearsofageto21yearsofage.Theagefor
aqualifiedapplicantwhoisamemberof,orhonorablydischarged
from,theUnitedStatesArmedForcesremains18yearsofage.
Anypersoninviolationoftheprovisionsofthisbillshallbe
guiltyofaclassAmisdemeanorifthefirearmisunloadedanda
classEfelonyifthefirearmisloaded.
