48.
ThisbillauthorizestheDivisionofProfessionalRegistration,
withintheDepartmentofCommerceandInsurance,tooversee
professionalbareknucklefightinginMissouri. TheDivisionwill
acceptapplicationsandissuelicensesforcontestantsandlicenses
toholdbareknucklefightingcontests.
TheDivisionmustissuemandatorymedicalsuspensionsfor
contestantswholoseconsciousnessorareinjuredasaresultof
blowsreceivedtotheheadorbody.TheDivisionisalso
prohibitedfromissuinglicensestoparticipateinbareknuckle
fightingiftheindividualhasbeeninjuredinsuchamannerthat
theycannotcontinuetoparticipate. TheDivisionwillhavethe
authoritytopromulgaterulestogovernineveryparticular
professionalbareknucklefighting.
Thisbillalsodecriminalizes thepossessionoftheweaponknownas
knuckles.
ThisbillissimilartoHB2130(2022)andHB1348(2021).
