PROPONENTS: Supporterssaythatthisbillensuresthe constitutional righttobeararmsisnotstrippeduponenteringa placeofworship. Lawabidingcitizensshouldnotbestrippedof therighttoself-defenseinordertoenteraplaceofworship. Religiousleadershavevoicedtheirsupportforthisbill. Further,eachchurchandplaceofworshipmaystillexercisetheir privatepropertyrightstoexcludefirearmswiththeplacingofa signiftheyfeelitisappropriate. Concealedcarrypermit(ccw) holdersareaforcemultiplierforsecurity. Thisbillremoves churchesandplacesofworshipfromliabilityandregulation, allowingeachplaceofworshiptomaketheappropriatedecisionfor themselves. OPPONENTS: Thosewhoopposethebillsaythatchurchesandplaces ofworshipareinoppositiontothislegislation. Thisbillbypasseschurchleaders'abilitytodecidehowbestto handlepracticesontheirpremises. Thisisadecisionbestleft toeachindividualplaceofworship,nottotheGeneralAssembly.
