Currently,therearetwodifferenttypesofboardsofdirectorsfor
industrialdevelopmentcorporations.
Inthemajorityofcounties,theboardcanhaveanynumberof
directors,notlessthanfive,thatareappointedbytheCounty
Commission.
Certainothercounties,asdescribedinthebill,musthaveaboard
ofdirectorswiththenumberofdirectorsnotlessthanthenumber
oftownshipsinthecounty.Eachtownshipwithinthecountymust
electonedirectortotheboard.
BeginningwithanyelectionafterAugust28,2023,thisbill
repealstheprovisionwheretheboardofdirectorsiselected.
