Thisbillestablishestheoffenseofunlawfultrackingofamotor
vehicleifapersonknowinglyinstalls,conceals,orotherwise
placesanelectronictrackingdeviceonamotorvehiclewithoutthe
consentofallownersofthevehicle.
Thereareseveralexceptionstotheoffenseasdescribedinthe
bill,including,butnotlimitedto,forthepurposesofacriminal
investigation, atthediscretionofaparentorlegalguardian,or
ifthevehicleisbeingrepossessed.
ThisoffenseisaclassBmisdemeanor.
