ThisbillextendsfederalprotectionsoftheServicemembers Civil
ReliefAct(SCRA)currentlyinfederallawforfederal
servicemembers tomembersoftheMissouriNationalGuardwhoare
calledtoactivestatedutybytheGovernorandanyMissouri
employeeswhoaremembersoftheNationalGuardofanotherstate
andarecalledtoactivestatedutybytheGovernorofthatstate,
uponbeingrelievedofsuchduty.
Additionally,thisbillrequirestheDepartmentofLaborand
IndustrialRelationstomakeavailableanotice,whichevery
employerwillpostinemploymentestablishments, thatcovers
certainemploymentrights,reemploymentrights,andcivilrelief
rightsthatapplytomembersoftheMissouriNationalGuard.
ThisbillallowsmembersoftheMissouriNationalGuardorany
MissouriemployeewhoisamemberoftheNationalGuardofanother
statewhobelieveshisorherrightshavebeenviolatedtobring
suitinanycourtofcompetentjurisdictionandappropriatevenue.
TheofficeoftheAttorneyGeneralmayalsobringsuitagainstan
employerwhoviolatestheprovisionsofthisbill.
