ThisbillrepealstherequirementthattheJointCommitteeon LegislativeResearchholdahearingtotakepubliccommentona proposedmeasurewithin30daysoftheSecretaryofStateissuing certificationthatthepetitioncontainsasufficientnumberof validsignatures. PROPONENTS: Supporterssaythatthisbillmakestechnicalchanges totheIPprocessthatamounttogoodcustomerservicefromthe SecretaryofState'soffice.Eachprovisionofthebillis consistentwithcourtprecedenttoensureitsconstitutionality.
