Thisbillrequiresinitiativeandreferendumpetitionsignature
pagestobeprintedonaformasprescribedbytheSecretaryof
State.Font,fontsize,marginwidth,andpagenumberingare
requiredforsignaturepages,asspecifiedinthebill.Signature
pagesshallbemadeavailableinelectronicformat.
Thisbillspecifiesthatnomeasurecirculatingbypetitionshall
claimtonullifyoramendfederallaw.
Thisbillrequiresthatpetitioncirculatorsbecitizensofthe
UnitedStates,residentsofMissouriorphysicallypresentin
Missouriforatleast30consecutivedayspriortothecollection
ofsignatures,andprohibitsthemfrombeingcompensatedbasedon
thenumberofsignaturescollected.
Thisbillpreventsanyextensionofalegalchallengetotheballot
titleofaninitiativepetitionorreferendumtobefinally
adjudicatedfewerthaneightweeksbeforethedateoftheelection.
Thisbillrequiresinitiativeandreferendumpetitionsamplesheets
tobesubmittedtotheSecretaryofStatewithinsixmonthsprior
tothenextgeneralelection.
Ifacourtordersachangethatsubstantiallyaltersthecontentof
theofficialballottitleofaninitiativeorreferendumpetition,
allsignaturesgatheredbeforesuchchangeoccurredshallbe
invalidated.
ThisbillrepealstherequirementthattheJointCommitteeon
LegislativeResearchholdahearingtotakepubliccommentona
proposedmeasurewithin30daysoftheSecretaryofStateissuing
certificationthatthepetitioncontainsasufficientnumberof
validsignatures.
