Thisbillestablishes"TheAnti-SurveillanceandForeign
InterventionAct"whichprohibitsanyelectedorappointedmember
oremployeeofanystateentityfromusingordownloadingany
socialmediaapplicationthatisownedbytheChineseGovernmentor
acompanythatsharesuserdatawiththeChinesegovernmentonany
state-ownedelectronicdevice.
Thisbillalsocreatestheoffenseofunlawfultrackingofamotor
vehicle,whichapersoncommitsifheorsheknowinglyinstalls,
conceals,orotherwiseplacesanelectronictrackingdeviceinor
onamotorvehiclewithouttheconsentofallownersofthevehicle
forthepurposeofmonitoringorfollowinganoccupantofthe
vehicle. Thebillprovidesexceptionstotheoffense. Theoffense
ofunlawfultrackingofamotorvehicleisaclassAmisdemeanor.
