Thisbillestablishesthe"MissouriTaskForceonNonprofitSafety
andSecurity"withintheDepartmentofPublicSafety.TheTask
Forceistaskedwithstudyingandmakingrecommendations onthe
securityneedsofnonprofitorganizationsatelevatedriskof
terroristattacksinMissouri.
MembersoftheTaskForceshallbeappointedbytheDirectorof
PublicSafety,asprovidedinthebill.TheTaskForcemustreport
atleastannuallytotheOfficeofHomelandSecurityofits
findingsandrecommendations withrespecttoterroristattacksin
Missouri.
Thisbillestablishesthe"SupplementalNonprofitSafetyand
SecurityFund".TheStateTreasurershallbecustodianofthe
fund.TheFundshallbeusedtodefraycostsofsecurity
enhancementsormeasures,asspecifiedinthebill,foreligible
nonprofitorganizations. Eligiblenonprofitorganizationsare
thoseorganizationswhoseapplicationsforfundingthroughthe
FederalEmergencyManagementAgency'sNonprofitSecurityGrant
ProgramhavebeenapprovedbytheDepartmentofPublicSafety
OfficeofHomelandSecurity. Aneligibleorganizationmayreceive
agrantfromtheFundofupto5%oftheavailablegrantpool.
Thisbillhasanemergencyclause.
