Currently,theGeneralAssemblycantransferupto$150,000tothe
RadioactiveWasteInvestigationFundtobeusedbytheDepartment
ofNaturalResourcestoinvestigateconcernsofexposureto
radioactivewaste.
Thisbillspecifiesthattheinvestigationmayincludecollection
ofsoil,dust,andwatersamplesfromthearea.Thebillalso
increasestheamountofmoneytheGeneralAssemblycantransferto
thefundfromtheHazardousWasteFundto$300,000andlimitsthe
expendituresperfiscalyearto$300,000transferedfromthe
HazardousWasteFundandanyadditionalGeneralRevenue
appropriated.
