Thisbillestablishesthe"VeteransTraumaticBrainInjury
TreatmentandRecoveryAct".
Thebillcreatesthe"VeteransTraumaticBrainInjuryTreatmentand
RecoveryFund",whichwillreimbursefacilitiesthatprovide
hyperbaricoxygentherapytoveteransdiagnosedwithposttraumatic
stressdisorderortraumaticbraininjury,andbeusedtoconduct
studiesontheuseofalternativetherapiesforsuchconditions.
Thebillspecifiestheeligibilitycriteriaandrequirementsfor
veterans,facilities,andhealthcarepractitionersfor
reimbursement.
TheMissouriVeteransCommissionmustcompileanannualreportwith
dataaboutthetreatmentofhyperbaricoxygentherapyandits
effectiveness. Theinformationcollectedforthereportis
specifiedinthebill.
ThebillgrantstheMissouriVeteransCommissionandtheDepartment
ofHealthandSeniorServicestheauthoritytopromulgaterulesand
regulationsfortheadministration oftheAct.
