Currently,inordertoqualifyaslegallyacceptabletorunpublic
noticesandadvertisements, anewspapermusthavebeenpublished
regularlyforaperiodofthreeyears;ormustbethesuccessor
newspapertoadefunctnewspaperandbeginpublicationnolater
than30daysaftertheterminationofthepriornewspaper.
Thisbillreducesthetimeperiodofregularpublicationfromthree
yearstooneyear,andincreasesthetimeperiodfrom30daysto90
dayswithinwhichasuccessornewspapermustbeginpublication.
Thisbillalsoallowsanewspaperthathasbeenpurchasedornewly
establishedbyanothernewspaperthatsatisfiestheseconditionsto
qualify.
