Thisbillestablishesthe"UniformCivilRemediesforUnauthorized
DisclosureofIntimateImagesAct",whichprovidesthatan
individualwhoisdepictedinanintimateimage,whois
identifiableinsuchimage,andwhosuffersaharmfromaperson's
intentionaldisclosureorthreateneddisclosureofsuchintimate
imagewithouttheindividual'sconsenthasacauseofaction
againstthepersonifthepersonkneworactedwithreckless
disregardaboutwhetherthedepictedindividualconsentedtothe
disclosure,aboutwhethertheintimateimagewasprivate,andabout
whetherthedepictedindividualwasidentifiable. Theidentityof
theplaintiffmaybeprotectedincourtfilingsanddocuments. The
billspecifiescertainexceptionstoliabilityfordisclosureofan
intimateimage.
Thestatuteoflimitationonacauseofactionforanunauthorized
disclosureorthreattodiscloseisfouryearsfromthedatethe
disclosurewasdiscoveredorshouldhavebeendiscoveredorfrom
thedateofthethreattodisclose,respectively.
ThisbillisthesameasHB2024(2022).

actionforvictimsofdisclosureofintimateimages.
