ThisresolutionspecifiesthatonlycitizensoftheUnitedStates
shallbeentitledtovoteinpublicelections.
Theresolutionspecifiesthatallelectionsshallbebypaper
ballot,aswellasanymechanicalmethodprescribedbylaw.
Thisresolutionmandatesthatvotersshallhaveonlyasinglevote
foreachissueornumberofopenseatstobevotedonatan
election.
Theresolutionprovidesthatthepersonreceivingthegreatest
numberofvotesataprimaryelectionasapartycandidateforan
officeshallbetheonlycandidateforthatpartyatthegeneral
election,unlessremovedorreplacedasprovidedbylaw.The
personreceivingthegreatestnumberofvotesatthegeneral
electionshallbedeclaredthewinner.
Theresolutionprovidesthatvotingmachinesshallbetestedand
certifiedassecureinaccordancewithfederalstandardspriorto
eachelectioninwhichtheywillbeused.
Thisproposedconstitutional amendmentwillonlygointoeffectif
adoptedbyavoteofthepeople.
