BeitenactedbytheGeneralAssemblyofthestateofMissouri,asfollows: SectionA.Section43.080,RSMo,isrepealedandonenewsectionenactedinlieu 2thereof,tobeknownassection43.080,toreadasfollows: 43.080.1.Thesuperintendentisauthorizedandempoweredtoprescribepolicies 2providingforincreasesinthesalariesofmembersofthehighwaypatrol.Eachyear,priorto 3Januaryfirst,thesuperintendentshallsubmitasalaryschedulereporttothegovernor,speaker 4ofthehouseofrepresentatives,andthepresidentprotemofthesenate.Thesalaryschedule 5reportpreparedbythesuperintendentshallinclude,inadditiontoothermattersdeemed 6pertinenttothesuperintendent,acomparisonofthesalariesofpoliceofficersofthethree 7largestpolicedepartmentsinthestateandacomparisonofthesalariesandbenefitsof 8policeofficersemployedbythefollowinglawenforcementagencieslocatedin 9surroundingstates: 10 (1)TheIowaStatePatrol; 11 (2)TheNebraskaStatePatrol; 12 (3)TheIllinoisStatePolice; 13 (4)TheKentuckyStatePolice; 14 (5)TheTennesseeHighwayPatrol; 15 (6)TheArkansasStatePolice; 16 (7)TheOklahomaHighwayPatrol;and 17 (8)TheKansasHighwayPatrol.
