SectionA.Section1.205,RSMo,isrepealedandonenewsectionenactedinlieu
2thereof,tobeknownassection1.205,toreadasfollows:
1.205.1.Thegeneralassemblyofthisstatefindsthat:
2 (1)Thelifeofeachhumanbeingbeginsatconception;
3 (2)Unbornchildrenhaveprotectableinterestsinlife,health,andwell-beingandare
4entitledtothesamerights,powers,privileges,justice,andprotectionsasaresecuredor
5grantedbythelawsofthisstatetoanyotherhumanperson;
6 (3)Thenaturalparentsofunbornchildrenhaveprotectableinterestsinthelife,
7health,andwell-beingoftheirunbornchild.
8 2.EffectiveJanuary1,1988,thelawsofthisstateshallbeinterpretedandconstrued
9toacknowledgeonbehalfoftheunbornchildateverystageofdevelopment,alltherights,
10privileges,andimmunitiesavailabletootherpersons,citizens,andresidentsofthisstate,
11subjectonlytotheConstitutionoftheUnitedStates,anddecisionalinterpretationsthereofby
12theUnitedStatesSupremeCourtandspecificprovisionstothecontraryinthestatutesand
13constitutionofthisstate.
14 3.Asusedinthissection,theterm"unbornchildren"or"unbornchild"shallinclude
15allunbornchildorchildrenortheoffspringofhumanbeingsfromthemomentofconception
16untilbirthateverystageofbiologicaldevelopment.
