ThisbillspecifiesthatforMOHealthNetandforinsurance
carriersorhealthbenefitplans,anypriorauthorization
requirementsforopioidanalgesicandanyservicedenialsmade
theretodonotrequiretheuseofopioidanalgesicdrugproducts
withoutabuse-deterrentpropertiesbeforeauthorizingtheuseof
suchdrugproducts.
Thebillalsorequiresinsurancecarriersorhealthbenefitsplans
toprovidecoverageontheirformularyordruglistatleastone
abuse-deterrentopioidanalgesicdrugproductperopioidanalgesics
activeingredient.
Cost-sharingforbrandnameorgenericversionsofthisproductare
nottoexceedthelowestcost-sharinglevelappliedtobrandname
orgenericnon-abusedeterrentopioiddrugscoveredunderthe
applicablehealthplanorpolicy.Additionally,anincreasein
patientcost-sharingordisincentivesforprescribersordispensers
isnotallowedinordertoachievecompliancewiththeprovisions
ofthisbill.
