Thisbillspecifiesthateachgrandandpetitjurorwillreceiveat
least$6perdayforeverydaythejuroractuallyservesanda
mileagereimbursementrateasprovidedbylawforstateemployees.
EachcountyandtheCityofSt.Louismayauthorizeadditional
compensationforitsjurors.Alternatively, agoverningbody,as
specifiedinthebill,may,byamajorityvote,votetorestructure
jurorcompensationsothatgrandandpetitjurorsdonotgetpaid
forthefirsttwodaysofservicebutthereafterwillreceive$50
perday,aswellasmileagereimbursementattherateprovidedby
lawforstateemployeesfornecessarytravelfromthejuror's
residencetothecourthouseandback,tobepaidbythecounty.
