workers'compensationminimumemployeerequirementsforcertainconstruction
industryemployers.
BeitenactedbytheGeneralAssemblyofthestateofMissouri,asfollows:
SectionA.Section287.030,RSMo,isrepealedandonenewsectionenactedinlieu
2thereof,tobeknownassection287.030,toreadasfollows:
287.030.1.Theword"employer"asusedinthischaptershallbeconstruedtomean:
2 (1)Everyperson,partnership,association,corporation,limitedliabilitypartnershipor
3company,trustee,receiver,thelegalrepresentativesofadeceasedemployer,andeveryother
4person,includinganypersonorcorporationoperatingarailroadandanypublicservice
5corporation,usingtheserviceofanotherforpay;
6 (2)Thestate,county,municipalcorporation,township,schoolorroad,drainage,
7swampandleveedistricts,orschoolboards,boardofeducation,regents,curators,managers
8orcontrolcommission,boardoranyotherpoliticalsubdivision,corporation,orquasi-
9corporation,orcitiesunderspecialcharter,orunderthecommissionformofgovernment;
10 (3)Anyoftheabove-definedemployersmusthavefiveormoreemployeestobe
11deemedanemployerforthepurposesofthischapterunlesselectionismadetobecome
12subjecttotheprovisionsofthischapterasprovidedinsubsection2ofsection287.090,
13[exceptthat]andconstructionindustryemployerswhoerect,demolish,alterorrepair
14improvementsshallbedeemedanemployerforthepurposesofthischapteriftheyhave[one]
15fiveormoreemployees.Anemployeewhoisamemberoftheemployer'sfamilywithinthe
