Thisbill,subjecttoappropriations, establisheswithinthe
DepartmentofCorrectionsa"ContingencyManagementProgram". The
Programwillfacilitateandencouragelong-termabstinencefrom
substanceabuseandprovidecashincentivestoeligiblepersonswho
areonprobationorparoleafterservingtimeintheDepartmentof
Corrections. TheDepartmentcanawardsuccessfulparticipantsa
cashincentiveof$250forcompletingthefollowingrequirements:
(1)Sixmonthsofabstinencepost-incarcerationforsubstance
abuse;
(2)Participationinatleast62recoverymeetingsapprovedby
theDepartment;
(3)Completionofatleasttwonegativedrugscreenings; and
(4)Completionofarecoveryworkbook
Thebilllimitsthenumberofcashincentiveawardsto28.
Thisbillsunsetssixyearsaftertheeffectivedate.
