Thisbillprohibitstheuseofmifepristonetoperformorinducean
abortion,exceptincasesofmedicalemergency,withoutalso
providingawrittennoticetothepersonwhoisconsideringthe
abortion.
Thewrittennoticeisprovidedinthebillandmustbeapprovedby
theDepartmentofHealthandSeniorServices,whichisalso
requiredtopublishinstate-preparedprintedmaterialandona
state-preparedwebsitestatementsoninformedconsentforthe
reversalofanabortion.
ThebillalsorequirestheDepartmentsofElementaryandSecondary
EducationandHigherEducationandWorkforceDevelopmenttodevelop
asimilarpublicawarenesssigntobedisplayedineveryrestroom
insecondaryschoolsandhighereducationinstitutionsinthe
state.
Thisbillrequireshospitalemergencyroomstodisplayasimilar
publicawarenesssigninwaitingareasandpatientfacilities,as
wellasasigninwaitingareasandpatientfacilitiesdirecting
patientstosharewiththeirhealthcareprovideriftheyhavehad
anabortion,includingifthepersonhastakenabortionpills
obtainedonline,sothatthepatient'smedicaltreatmentcanbeas
effectiveaspossible.
