Thisbillspecifiesthatanypersonwhoisnotalicenseddealer
mustrequirethatabackgroundcheckbeconductedofaperspective
transfereepriortothetransferofafirearm,withcertain
exceptionsspecifiedinthebill.Notransfermaybecompleted
untiltheprospectivefirearmtransferorhasobtainedapprovalof
thetransferfromthecentralrepository,asdefined,aftera
backgroundcheck.
Alicenseddealerorlawenforcementagencymaychargeafeefor
conductingabackgroundcheck,notexceed$25orthecostof
conductingthebackgroundcheck,whicheverisgreater.
ViolationsoftheseprovisionsareaClassBmisdemeanor.Eachday
aviolationoftheseprovisionsiscommittedorcontinuedwillbe
consideredaseparateviolation.
