Thisbillrepealstheincreaseintheminimumwagerate.
Currently,theminimumwagerateis$13.75perhourwithan
increaseinthehourlyrateeachyearof$1.25to$15.00perhour
beginningonJanuary1,2026.Underthisbill,theminimumwage
ratesthatexistedasofDecember31,2024,wouldapply,which
meanstheminimumwageratewouldbe$12.00perhour.Successive
increasesintheminimumwageratewouldbeadjustedbasedonthe
costofliving,asreflectedintheConsumerPriceIndexforUrban
WageEarnersandClericalWorkers,publishedbytheU.S.Department
ofLabor.
Further,thisbillrepealsthelawsrelatingtopaidsickleave.
