Thisbilladdssingle-useepinephrinenasalspraytoprovisionsof
statutethatpermittheauthorizationofthepossessionandself-
administration ofthemedicationtotreatastudent'schronic
healthcondition,suchasasthmaoranaphylaxis.
Thebillauthorizeseachboardofeducationinthisstatetogrant
permissiontopupils,aswellaseachschoolboardinthisstateto
grantpermissiontoschoolnursestousethismedication.
Thisbilladditionallymodifiesexistingprovisionsforepinephrine
possession,uselimitations,andstocksupplybyaddingsingle-use
epinephrinenasalspraysaseligibleproducts.
Currentlawauthorizesqualifiedfirstresponders,asisdefinedin
thebill,toadministerepinephrineauto-injectorstoapersonwho
issufferingfromanapparentanaphylacticreaction. Thisbill
extendsthatauthorizationtosingle-useepinephrinenasalsprays.
