Thisbillauthorizesthegoverningbodyofanycitydescribedin
thebilltoimposeataxof6%peroccupiedroompernightpaidby
transientguestsofhotelsormotelswithinthecity,forthe
purposeoffundingthepromotionoftourism.
Thetaxwouldnotbecomeeffectiveunlesssubmittedtovotersof
thecityandratifiedbyamajorityofthevotescastthereon.
Authorizedinthebillisanycitywithmorethan10,000butfewer
than11,000inhabitantsandthatisthecountyseatofacounty
withmorethan100,000butfewerthan120,000inhabitants,andany
citywithmorethan14,000butfewerthan16,000inhabitantsthat
isthecountyseatofacountywithmorethan80,000butfewerthan
100,000inhabitants.
