protocolforschoolpersonnelbyJanuary1,2026.
Thebilloutlinesthespecificrequirementsforthebloodloss
protocolwhichmustincludethatableedingcontrolkitbeplaced
inareaswherethereislikelytobehightrafficorcongregation,
andareaswhereriskofinjurymaybeelevated.
Additionally,eachdistrictmustdesignateaschoolnurseorschool
healthcareprovider,orifnoschoolnurseorschoolhealthcare
providerisavailable,aschoolpersonnelmembertoreceiveannual
trainingontheuseofabloodcontrolkit.
ThebillrequiresDESEandeachschooldistrictandcharterschool
tomaintaininformationregardingthetraumaticbloodlossprotocol
andtheStoptheBleednationalawarenesscampaignontheir
respectivewebsites.
