ThisbillmodifiesprovisionsrelatingtotheStateAdvisory
CouncilonEmergencyMedicalServices.
Thebillchangestheamountofcouncilmembersfrom16tonofewer
than13,removestherequirementthatonemembermustbearesident
ofacitynotwithinacounty,andupdatesthecriteriaformember
appointment. Thisbillalsochangestheprocedureforelectinga
chairpersonbyremovingthedesignationofthechairpersonbythe
Governorandinsteadrequiringthecounciltoelectthechairperson
oranyotherofficerasdeemednecessary.
ThisbillalsoremovesaprovisionstatingthattheregionalEMS
advisorycommitteesaretoserveasresourcesforidentifying
potentialmembersofthecouncil.
