classification withatownshipformofgovernmentandwithmore
than12,500butfewerthan12,600inhabitantsisauthorizedto
imposeatransientguesttaxofupto6%andasalestaxofupto
2%onthegrossreceiptsderivedfromtheretailsalesoffoodby
everypersonoperatingafoodestablishmentforthepurposesof
fundingtheconstruction,maintenance,andoperationofcapital
improvements.Asoriginallyenacted,thisappliedtothecityof
LamarHeights.
Thisbilladdsemergencyservicesandpublicsafetytothe
allowablepurposesforwhichthetaxrevenuecanbeused.
UponenactmentthebillwillcontinuetoapplytothecityofLamar
Heights.
