elections,withpenaltyprovisions.
BeitenactedbytheGeneralAssemblyofthestateofMissouri,asfollows:
SectionA.Section115.635,RSMo,isrepealedandonenewsectionenactedinlieu
2thereof,tobeknownassection115.635,toreadasfollows:
115.635.1.Thefollowingoffenses,andanyothersspecificallysodescribedbylaw,
2shallbeclassthreeelectionoffensesandaredeemedmisdemeanorsconnectedwiththe
3exerciseoftherightofsuffrage.Convictionforanyoftheseoffensesshallbepunishedby
4imprisonmentofnotmorethanoneyearorbyfineofnotmorethantwothousandfive
5hundreddollars,orbybothsuchimprisonmentandfine:
6 (1)Giving,lending,agreeingtogiveorlend,offering,promising,orendeavoringto
7procure,anymoneyorvaluableconsideration,office,orplaceofemployment,toorforany
8voter,toorforanypersononbehalfofanyvoter,ortoorforanyperson,inordertoinduce
9anyvotertovoteorrefrainfromvotingorcorruptlydoinganysuchactonaccountofsuch
10voterhavingalreadyvotedorrefrainedfromvotingatanyelection;
11 (2)Makinguseof,orthreateningtomakeuseof,anyforce,violence,orrestraint,or
12inflictingorthreateningtoinflictanyinjury,damage,harmorlossuponoragainstany
13person,inordertoinduceorcompelsuchpersontovoteorrefrainfromvotingatany
14election;
15 (3)Impedingorpreventing,orattemptingtoimpedeorprevent,byabduction,duress
16oranyfraudulentdeviceorcontrivance,thefreeexerciseofthefranchiseofanyvoteror,by

26 (7)Removing,destroyingoralteringanysuppliesorinformationplacedinorneara
27votingboothforthepurposeofenablingavotertopreparehisorherballot;
28 (8)Enteringavotingboothorcompartmentexceptasspecificallyauthorizedbylaw;
29 (9)Onthepartofanyelectionofficial,challenger,watcherorpersonassistinga
30persontovote,revealingordisclosinganyinformationastohowanyvotermayhavevoted,
31indicatedthatthepersonhadvotedexceptasauthorizedbythischapter,indicatedanintentto
32voteorofferedtovote,excepttoagrandjuryorpursuanttoalawfulsubpoenainacourt
33proceedingrelatingtoanelectionoffense;
34 (10)Onthepartofanyregistrationorelectionofficial,refusingtopermitanyperson
35toregistertovoteortovotewhensuchofficialknowsthepersonislegallyentitledtoregister

47address,socialsecuritynumber,federaltaxidentificationnumber,checkingaccount
48number,savingsaccountnumber,creditcardnumber,maritalstatus,oridentityofa
49childundereighteenyearsofage,ofanelectionjudge,challenger,watcher,oremployee
50orvolunteerofanelectionauthority,oramemberofsuchperson'sfamily,forthe
51purposeslistedinsubdivisions(12)and(13)ofthissection.
52 2.Forthepurposesofthissection,theterm"electionofficial"includesthe
53electionauthorityforthecounty,electionjudges,andothervolunteersoremployeesof
HB479 2 54anelectionauthority.Ifaviolationofsubdivisions(12),(13),or(14)resultsindeathor
55bodilyinjurytoanelectionofficialoramemberoftheofficial'sfamily,theoffenseshall
56beaclassBfelony.
