Currently,amarriagelicensecannotbeissuedinMissourifor
individualsunder16yearsofageorissuedwhenonepartytothe
marriageisunder18yearsofageandtheotherpartyover21years
ofage.Additionally,nomarriagelicensecanbeissuedifany
partytothemarriageisunder18yearsofagewithoutparental
consent.
Thisbillrepealsthoseprovisionssonomarriagelicensecanbe
issuedinMissouriforindividualsunder18yearsofage,unless
theindividualunder18isemancipated. Alicensewillonlybe
issuedwhenonepartyisemancipatediftheotherpartyisunder
21.
