Currently,enrolleesofhealthinsurancecancontacttheinsurance
companyandthecompanymustprovidetheamountofcost-sharing,
includingdeductibles,copayments,andcoinsurance,underthe
enrollee'shealthbenefitplanorcoveragethattheenrolleewould
beresponsibleforpayingwithrespecttothefurnishingofa
specificitemorservicebyaparticipatingproviderinatimely
mannerupontherequestoftheenrollee.
Thisbillrequireshealthinsurancecompaniestoimmediately
providethespecificreimbursementamount,expressedindollarsand
notasapercentage,atthewrittenororalrequestofthe
enrollee.
