ThisbilladdsanycountythatborderstheLakeoftheOzarkstoan existingstatutoryauthorizationallowingthecreationofa theater,culturalarts,andentertainmentdistrict. Thebillalsodefinesa"LakefrontEntertainmentDistrict". The SupervisorofAlcoholandTobaccoControlmayissueaLakefront EntertainmentDistrictSpecialLicensetoapplicantswhomeet requirementsspecifiedinthebill.Licenseholders willbe authorizedtosellintoxicatingliquorbythedrinkforretail consumptionduringspecifiedhours.Anyapplicantgranteda licensemustpaya$300yearlylicensefeeperdistrictinaddition tothefeesrequiredforeachindividuallicensee. Patronsofestablishments thatservealcohollocatedwithina LakefrontEntertainmentDistrictareauthorizedtoleavethose establishments withalcoholicbeveragesandbringthebeverages withthemintootherareasoftheLakefrontEntertainmentDistrict. Theholderofan entertainmentdistrictspeciallicensewilldeterminewhenand wherelicensee'sinthedistrictcansell. ThisbillissimilartoHB2068(2024).
