Thisbillrepealstheincreaseintheminimumwagerate.
Currently,theminimumwagerateis$13.75perhourandthereisan
increaseinthehourlyrateeachyearof$1.25to$15.00perhour
beginningonJanuary1,2026.Underthebill,theminimumwage
ratesthatexistedasofDecember31,2024wouldapply,whichmeans
theminimumwageratewouldbe$12.00perhour.Successive
increasesintheminimumwageratewouldbeadjustedbasedonthe
costofliving,asreflectedintheConsumerPriceIndexforUrban
WageEarnersandClericalWorkerspublishedbytheU.S.Department
ofLabor.
Further,thisbillrepealsthelawsrelatingtopaidsickleave.
