SectionA.Chapters192and197,RSMo,areamendedbyaddingtheretotwonew
2sections,tobeknownassections192.918and197.752,toreadasfollows:
192.918.Thedepartmentofhealthandseniorservicesshallimplementan
2educationandawarenessprogramtopromoterespectforhealthcareprofessionalsand
3educatethepubliconthelegalconsequencesofassaultinghealthcareprofessionals.
197.752.1.Ahospitalmayreceivereimbursementfromthestateformoneys
2spentonnewphysicalproperty,oronnewtechnologycompliantwiththeNational
3DefenseAuthorizationAct,thatenhancesthephysicalsecurityofthehospitalduringthe
4twoyearsfollowingtheeffectivedateofthissection.
5 2.Ahospitalmayreceivereimbursementfromthestatefornewpayrollcostsfor
6anysecuritypersonnelthehospitalmayemploytoprovidesecurityforthehospital
7duringthethreeyearsfollowingtheeffectivedateofthissection.
8 3.Reimbursementfromthestateunderthissectionshallbesubjectto
9appropriations.
10 4.(1)Thereisherebycreatedinthestatetreasurythe"HospitalSecurity
11Fund",whichshallconsistofmoneysappropriatedtoitbythegeneralassemblyand
12anygifts,contributions,grants,orbequestsreceivedfromfederal,private,orother
13sources.Thestatetreasurershallbecustodianofthefund.Inaccordancewithsections
1430.170and30.180,thestatetreasurermayapprovedisbursements.Thefundshallbea

18remaininginthefundattheendofthebienniumshallnotreverttothecreditofthe

20 (3)Thestatetreasurershallinvestmoneysinthefundinthesamemanneras
21otherfundsareinvested.Anyinterestandmoneysearnedonsuchinvestmentsshallbe
22creditedtothefund.
23 5.ThissectionshallexpireonAugust28,2028.
