SubmittingtothequalifiedvotersofMissourianamendmenttoArticleIoftheConstitution
ofMissouri,byadoptingonenewsectionrelatingtotherighttohuntandfish.
BeitresolvedbytheHouseofRepresentatives,theSenateconcurringtherein:
ThatatthenextgeneralelectiontobeheldinthestateofMissouri,onTuesdaynext
2followingthefirstMondayinNovember,2026,orataspecialelectiontobecalledbythe
3governorforthatpurpose,thereisherebysubmittedtothequalifiedvotersofthisstate,for
4adoptionorrejection,thefollowingamendmenttoArticleIoftheConstitutionofthestateof
5Missouri:
SectionA.ArticleI,ConstitutionofMissouri,isamendedbyadoptingonenew
2section,tobeknownasSection37,toreadasfollows:
Section37.Thathuntingandfishingprovideexercise,socialandemotional
2health,employmentopportunities,andnutritiousproteins;andthathuntersandanglers
3aredrivingforcessupportingMissouri'seconomy.Toprotectthisimportantheritage
4andfundamentalright,theindividualrightsofhuntersandanglerstoengageinhunting
5andharvestingwildlifeandfishingbylegalmeansshallbeforeverguaranteedinthis
6state,subjecttodulyauthorizedpowersoftheconservationcommissionconferredin
7ArticleIV,Section40(a)oftheConstitutionofMissouri.Nothinginthissectionshallbe
8construedtopreventthegeneralassemblyfromenactinggenerallawsthatlimitthe
9rightsofconvictedviolentfelonsorthoseadjudicatedbyacourttobeadangertoone's
10selforothersasaresultofamentaldisorderormentalinfirmity.Thissectionshallnot
